this girl’s a silhouette, can't you see?

Last night we tried to turn him on. Nothing. :(

After a while of trying, and taking the battery out and in and the power cord out and in… the light on the power button came on sometimes but the other power light on the side - no dice. 

This morning, when trying to turn him on, all the right lights come on, the fans start to whir in the usual start-up way… but after 2 seconds (before the screen even comes on - though sometimes it flashes) it goes dead again. 

Just now (lunchtime) after getting home and finding samwise left it under a fan, it reacted the same to trying to turn it on :(

I’m pretty devistated. I keep thinking of things that are on the laptop that I hadn’t backed up yet. Luckily, most of the important stuff is kinda online - Photos on facebook and tumblr (not all though :() and my resume and cover letters are attached in my sent emails. 

BUT UGH. ALL MY CHROME BOOKMARKS. AND THE PHOTOS I DIDN’T UPLOAD. AND MY POST-IT NOTES. 

I’m going to go into Dick Smith (where I bought it) tomorrow, and even though I’m pretty sure warranty doesn’t cover water damage, I’m going to see how much it might be to fix it. Mum said she’d pay to fix it (which I was hoping, because she was really kinda responsible for knocking the glass of water). And I am incredibly thankful for that because Samwise and I have JUST THIS WEEK been freaking out about bills and money and me not having a job yet.

OH RORY-LAPPY. PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE BE BETTER SOON :(
