I don’t even know why I have such an aversion to it.
It’s about children’s literature. Seriously. PICTURE BOOKS.
“Critical Analysis of Picture Books”
And I’ve chosen to study Shaun Tan’s books. Because they’re amazing.
But it’s 2500 words
And I’m just… stuck.
Ugh, it’s due on Monday
And I’ve barely done any
maybe that’s why I hate it
And the second part of it requires reference to a text that I only identified today, and can’t get from the library until Sunday.
I want to do it, but I can barely look at it.
I’ve tried to force myself into it the last 4 days
and I’ve collected quite a bit of information
but i just can’t… make sense of it.
Maybe because it seems so big
it reminds me of my thesis that I didn’t complete. Even though that was 15000 words, and this is just 2500.
It feels the same.
But I need to get 1500w done tonight if I want to stay sane.
So I can write the other 1000w after getting the textbook tomorrow.
So that I have time to visit Caroline to work on choreography on Monday.
Ugh.
I don’t remember ever feeling less enthusiastic about an assignment as I do about this one.
sigh.
