Never did a more radiant one appear
than the girl whose eyes sparkle brighter than fire,
her smiles leave me transcending any delusion
that the good ones are all already enveloped in the arms of another.
And never did one more beautiful escape my sights,
the affection from me to her understood,
but no longer spoken of;
my sentiments rendered superfluous
by the mutual understanding that she is not,
nor will ever be,
mine.
74 words…do I get any bonus points?! :)
